Privacy & Cookies

Last updated 14 June 2026

GameServer (this site, gaming.ictapp.nl) lets people upload small browser games and play them in the browser. We try to collect as little as possible and we do not track you, profile you, or sell data to anyone. This page explains, in plain terms, what we store and why.

1. What we collect

  • Account details โ€” if you register: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Content you create โ€” games you upload (their files, title, description, version, optional cover image) and a count of how many times each game is played.
  • Server logs โ€” our web server records standard technical information for each request (IP address, time, the page requested, browser user-agent) to keep the service running and secure.

2. Cookies

We use only strictly-necessary cookies. There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies set by us.

CookiePurposeLifetime
laravel-sessionKeeps you signed in and maintains your session.Session (โ‰ˆ2 hours)
XSRF-TOKENProtects forms against cross-site request forgery.Session (โ‰ˆ2 hours)

Because these cookies are essential for the site to function (you cannot log in without them), they are exempt from the consent requirement under the EU ePrivacy rules and the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet. We show a notice for transparency rather than to ask permission. If we ever add optional cookies (for example analytics), we will ask for your consent first and they will stay off until you agree.

3. Third-party services

  • Some pages load front-end libraries and fonts from public CDNs (jsDelivr for the 3D library, Bunny Fonts for typography). Your browser contacts those providers directly, which means they receive your IP address as part of serving the file. We chose privacy-respecting providers and set no cookies through them.
  • Uploaded games are third-party content. They run inside a sandboxed frame that cannot read your account, session, or this site's cookies. A game may still load its own assets or talk to its own servers; we don't control what an individual game does internally.

4. How we use your data

To provide the service: to create and secure your account, to host and display the games you upload, to show play counts, and to keep the platform safe (for example, scanning uploads for malicious files). We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

5. Keeping & deleting your data

You can delete any game you've uploaded at any time from My Games. To delete your account and the data associated with it, contact us at the address below and we'll remove it. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operation, then rotated out.

6. Your rights

If you're in the EU/EEA, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@ictapp.nl. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

7. Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. For anything else, reach us at privacy@ictapp.nl.
